You are prohibited from violating, or attempting to violate, the security of Pet Shop Naija website. Any such violations may result in criminal and/or civil penalties against you. Pet Shop Naija will investigate any alleged or suspected violations and if a criminal violation is suspected, we will cooperate with law enforcement agencies in their investigations.
Prohibited Activities on Pet Shop Naija
In using Pet Shop Naija website, you must also not:
- Use the website to send any unlawful, infringing, harmful, harassing, defamatory, threatening, vulgar, sexually explicit, hateful or otherwise objectionable material of any kind;
- Misrepresent your identity or affiliation in any way;
- Copy content from other members of the website;
- Register with multiple accounts or use false addresses or contact information;
- Use automated services to collect information from the site for use on other websites without our permission;
- Post any images, information or other material which don’t belong to yourself or infringes upon other people’s rights;
- Post non-related adverts on the website or spam the website by posting multiple copies of your adverts. We only allow adverts for pets for sale, pet accessories/supplies, adoption, stud or wanted. We do not allow posting of adverts for other services;
- Violate any applicable laws or regulations;
- Assist or permit any persons in engaging in any illegal activity;

Disclaimers and Limitation of Liability
Use of Pet Shop Naija website and its services is purely at your own risk. Pet Shop Naija website and it’s services are provided without any representation or endorsement made and without warranty of any kind whether express or implied, including but not limited to the implied warranties of satisfactory quality, fitness for a particular purpose, non-infringement, compatibility, security and accuracy.
Pet Shop Naija is not or will not be responsible for any indirect or resulting to loss or damage whatsoever (including without limitation loss of business, opportunity, data, profits) arising out of or in connection to our Website/Services.
While Pet Shop Naija strives to provide accurate product and pricing information, pricing or typographical errors may occur. Pet Shop Naija cannot confirm the price of a product until after you order. In the event that a product is listed at an incorrect price or with incorrect information due to an error in pricing or product information, Pet Shop Naija shall have the right, at our sole discretion, to refuse or cancel any orders placed for that product, unless the product has already been dispatched.
In the event that an item is mis-priced, Pet Shop Naija may, at its discretion, either contact you for instructions or cancel your order and notify you of such cancellation. Unless the product ordered by you has been dispatched, your offer will not be deemed accepted and Pet Shop Naija will have the right to modify the price of the product and contact you for further instructions using the e-mail address provided by you during the time of registration, or cancel the order and notify you of such cancellation. In the event that Pet Shop Naija accepts your order the same shall be debited to your credit card account and duly notified to you by email that the payment has been processed. The payment may be processed prior to Pet Shop Naija dispatch of the product that you have ordered. If we have to cancel the order after we have processed the payment, the said amount will be reversed back to your credit card account.
Shipping & Delivery Policy for Products
We ship majorly in Nigeria and for domestic (Nigerian) buyers, orders are shipped through registered domestic courier companies and /or speed post only. Orders are delivered within 5-10 business days or as per the delivery date agreed at the time of order confirmation and delivering of the shipment subject to Courier Company / post office norms. Pet Shop Naija is not liable for any delay in delivery by the courier company / postal authorities and only guarantees to hand over the consignment to the courier company or postal authorities within 10 working days from the date of the order and payment or as per the delivery date agreed at the time of order confirmation. Delivery of all orders will be to registered address of the buyer as per the credit/debit card only at all times (Unless specified at the time of Order).
Free shipping on all orders above N20,000 to Abuja residents only. All items below N20,000 shipped within or outside Abuja incurs a logistics charge depending on the courier company, location and weight of the product.
All order cancellations will be handled as per our standard cancellation policy. However, orders involving the purchase of dogs or puppies cannot be cancelled 48 hours after payment is made. This is as a result of payments which must have been made to the breeders, puppy finders, local/international logistics or pet relocation company or cost incurred in processing documents needed for the pet travel of which in all cases are non-refundable.
Cancellation by Pet Shop Naija:
Please note that there may be certain orders that we are unable to accept and must cancel. We reserve the right, at our sole discretion, to refuse or cancel any order for any reason. Some situations that may result in your order being cancelled include limitations on quantities available for purchase, inaccuracies or errors in product or pricing information, or problems identified by our credit and fraud avoidance department. We may also require additional verification or information before accepting any order. We will contact you if all or any portion of your order is cancelled or if additional information is required to accept your order. Direct Transfer payment mode orders will be cancelled for non-receipt of cash within 24 hours from the time of placing the order. Cheque payment mode orders will be cancelled if cheque is not deposited or intimation of the same is not given to us within 24 hours from the time of placing the order.
Cancellation by Customer:
If you cancel your order before your product has shipped, we will refund the entire amount. (Note: REFUNDS ARE NOT MADE FOR LIVE ANIMAL ORDERS)
If the cancellation is after your product has shipped, you can do one of the following:
- If your product has shipped but has not yet been delivered, contact Customer Support and inform them of the same
- If you received the product, it will be eligible for replacement, only in cases where there are defects found with the product.
- For orders involving live animals, the customer would wait for the puppy/dog be sold either by the breeder or Pet Shop Naija before refund (if any) is to be made.
In order to get a defective item replaced, contact customer care- email@example.com within 30 days from the date of delivery. The defective product or part of the product will be recalled and a replacement will be shipped immediately.
Pet Shop Naija standard delivery time is 5-10 working days after payment is confirmed; exceptions can be made for earlier delivery of dog food. However, when the delivery of a dog/puppy/pet is delayed, a notice would be sent to the customer conveying same as well as the new arrival date and possibly a delayed delivery benefit. For other products or accessories, a cancellation of the order may be sent if the customer so chooses.
Refund and Return
Definition: ‘Return’ is defined as the action of giving back the item purchased by the customer to the Seller/Pet Shop Naija on Pet Shop Naija website.
Following situations may arise:
- Item was defective
- Item was damaged in transit
- Products was / were missing
- Wrong item was received
Return could also result in refund of money in some of the cases especially if the item isn’t consumable. But all orders involving the purchase of puppies or dogs cannot be returned or refunded.
However, Pet Shop Naija reserves the rights to cancel an order and initiate a refund in the following situation:
- If the customer changes the order after it has been placed and paid for.
- If the customer is not available to provide the approval needed to complete the order.
- If the customer lacks confidence in Pet Shop Naija fulfilling her obligations or meeting the demands of the order.
In the instances cited above, Pet Shop Naija would charge the customer 25% of the cost of the item/puppy for verifiable costs incurred until that point and refund the customer within 30 – 60 days. Within this period the item/puppy would be advertised and sold or returned to the breeder based on initial agreements.
We encourage the customer to review the listing before making the purchase decision. In case the customer orders a wrong item, Pet Shop Naija/seller shall not be entitled to any return/refund.
The following RULES apply to this Policy:
- Live animals and certain consumable items (case where the seal is found to be broken) will not be returned or refunded. The list of such items include such items includes food, grooming products, supplements, dog apparel, beds, car seat covers etc
- In case of damaged or any missing product the customer needs to raise the request within 48 hours from the time of delivery. Once the customer has raised the request, he/she needs to provide a visual proof (an image) of the damaged product to Pet Shop Naija within 2 days from the time of delivery.
- All items to be returned must be unused and in their original condition with all original tags and packaging intact and should not be broken or tampered with.
- In the event the Pet Shop Naija Buy accepts the return request raised by the customer, customer will have to return the product and then the refund shall be credited to the customer’s account.
- Refund will only be processed after a quality check of the product by experts of Pet Shop Naija.
